On the Way
This started out as a concept CD. "On The Way" is actually
a suite of five songs, that starts with There's a Way
and ends with Looks Like Rain.
At some point, the concept sort-of ran out of gas, and I
reverted to writing and recording one song at a time.
Pat Kingsland wrote the tune to Joe Brown
and also performed the Banjo Part on it and Heart of the Storm.
He also played the drums on songs 3 thru 7.
Mark Johnston plays violin on I Didn't Know and
helped out Jeff Magnus on the sax parts for
So Nice to Meet You. Tom Welch
played drums and Peter Padua played lead guitar on
In Your Arms. Otherwise, I wrote all the songs,
played all the instruments, and as usual, did all the engineering
and production work.
The cover is an original painting by my brother, Gene Horton.
He passed away in July of 2000, and this CD is dedicated to him.
