Poplar with Maple, Cherry, and Poplar inlay

With Chris and Liz's wedding coming up, I wanted to create something special for them. So I made this pretty little picture frame and placed my favorite picture of them in it.

The frame is made of Poplar. The white parts of the flowers are Maple and the orange parts are Cherry Wood. For the green stems I found a green tinged piece of poplar. The flowers are 1/8" inlay on a 1/8" maple backing. The stems and frame pieces are 1/4" thick.

I flew out to Vermont to take place in their wedding celebration party, at which, it should be noted, everyone had a wonderful time. I think they enjoyed the frame and I hope it graces their happy home for many years to come.
